Today, we share a transparent recap, celebrate our builders’ efforts, and fling open the doors for fresh ideas and projects in 2026.

Transparent Evaluation: Setting the Bar for Excellence

Transparency is the cornerstone of the W Chain ethos. To maintain a fair and rigorous standard, our evaluation committee assessed each submission across five core pillars: Innovation & Creativity (25%), Technical Implementation (30%), Utility & Impact (25%), UX & Design (10%), and Completeness & Presentation (10%).

This framework allows us to spotlight the elements that truly elevate a Web3 project. For instance, top-tier scores in Innovation were awarded to those who devised novel smart contract solutions previously unseen in our ecosystem. In Technical Implementation, we prioritized robust, scalable architectures, while Utility & Impact favored projects with tangible real-world benefits, such as significant improvements in transaction speed. Finally, we rewarded UX & Design that drove seamless user engagement and Completeness that provided the documentation necessary for immediate integration.

In Milestone 2, we spotlighted two standout entries: W-Access (infrastructure-focused) and W-Ocean (UX and visualization-driven).

W-Ocean dazzled with its ocean-themed UI and strong social advocacy, boosting ecosystem trust. However, as a frontend tool relying on APIs without on-chain logic, it missed the decentralized depth we seek.

However, both projects fell short of our $2,000–$5,000-tiered prize threshold- W-Access needs security fixes, and W-Ocean requires true dApp originality. That said, they’ve earned Prizes for their dedication: W Acess for Mainnet deployments, W-Ocean for UI flair and community buzz.
